can be loaded into alternate 8051 program memory areas.

The Monitor is an MS Visual Basic program that runs in a PC which has a serial connection to an 8051.

The Monitor and the Kernel work together with a user program that runs in the 8051.

● MultiMIPS 8051 Operating System Kernel

The Kernel is an 8051 assembly language program that runs in the 8051 itself. The Monitor and the

Kernel work together with a user program that also runs in the 8051.
